VOA: EgyptAir Hijacker Arrested; Motive Unclear

The man who hijacked an Egyptian passenger jet and forced it to land in Cyprus has now been arrested, according to Cyprus officials.

“It’s over. The hijacker (has been) arrested,” Cyprus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on its Twitter account Tuesday.

Officials in Cyprus have identified the man as Seif Eldin Mustafa, but it is not clear what his motives were for hijacking the EgyptAir plane.
