Atlanta Museum Week coming April 25

ATLANTA — More than 30 Atlanta museums and historical sites are offering two-for-one admission during the first-ever Atlanta Museum Week.

The week runs from April 25 until May 1, and includes a number of top attractions. Participating museums include the Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta Braves Museum & Hall of Fame, the World of Coca-Cola, the College Football Hall of Fame and Chick-fil-A Fan Experience and The Delta Flight Museum.

“We encourage people to explore places that are new to them and to expand their understanding of the wealth of choices they have in Atlanta,” The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quoted Mary Pat Matheson, executive director of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, as saying.

In addition to museum in the traditional tourist areas of the city, a couple outside of Atlanta are participating in the week. Those participating are Tellus Science Museum and the Booth Western Art Museum, both located in Cartersville, Ga.
