Carlos Santana and Alicia Keys will headline this year’s Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival, set for Labor Day weekend.
“The third annual Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival will draw a huge crowd as our line-up features world famous Award-winning artists, including Santana, and many more to be announced shortly,” Curaçao Tourist Board CEO Ghatim Kabbara said in a recent news release. “…Travelers from all over the world will be joining us for this celebration of music, heightening awareness of Curaçao as the hottest and most cultured Caribbean island.”
Sting, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Ruben Blades, Earth, Wind & Fire and Branford Marsalis and his quartet headlined last year’s festival.
This year’s festival will be held Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at the island’s World Trade Center in Piscadera Bay, and day tickets start at $195. In the week leading up to the festival, a number of Curaçaoän artists are expected to perform in various “pop up” concerts around the island.
